Operating Engineers Local 324 Hoisting and Portable Division represents Michigan's skilled heavy equipment operators who define Michigan's skyline. The Building Trades Division encompasses traditional construction work, hazardous waste handling and dismantling and demolition services. Operating Engineers construct steel buildings, bridges, power houses, steel mills, refineries and all types of commercial and industrial facilities. The Buidling Trades Division also oversees the erection of conveyor systems in various industrial facilities across the state. Michigan's proud manufacturing history has been made possible by the skilled workers of the building trades.
Local 324 works in association with various Contractor Associations to perform the above referenced work. The Building Trades Division is inclusive of members operating under the following agreements: Michigan Associated General Contractors Agreement, Great Lakes Fabricators and Erectors Association Agreement and Michigan Conveyor Association Agreement.
